I loved that post. I have to admit that I’ve really enjoyed being settled too – since we bought this house 5 years ago, I’ve slowly been able to forget all those shared houses and student halls and things I lived in as, on all bar the most awful forms, I no longer need to remember them. I’ve still not painted the kitchen, mind.

Bro (hello!) and Iota, thanks also, and yes, I did. They’re charging me £50 but it seems a relatively small amount to pay. Of course, I’ll have to wait until I’m solvent again, so I should get the materials when I’m about 38.
