My coworker's wife's purse was snatched by the same guy who (also in my fine Chicago neighborhood) mugged Carol Mosely Braun, my former U.S. senator and a 2004 Democratic candidate for president. Ooh--I thought of another! Another coworker lives in the same precinct as my current senator and 2008 Democratic candidate for pres., Barack Obama. She happened to be there with umpteen members of the media when he cast his vote for himself in the election that made him a senator. Okay, that was long. Sorry. I got kind of excited.
