Even if you don't answer the following, I am very glad to have a way to let them out of my own brain to air out a little. (It's musty-smelling in there, generally.) Do bugs have muscles like ours? If so, do they have roughly the same number of muscle cells, just proportionately smaller than ours are? Or do they just have fewer of them? When a subway train pulls into the station, when it is slowing but not stopped, tons of people, including me, tend to start walking in the direction of the train’s travel, as though that’s where the door to the train is going to be, even though none of us knows where the doors will actually end up. Then, once the train stops and we see our guesses were wrong, we’ll go in either direction to get to the door that is closest or otherwise most appealing. Why? Why can’t I work just half a day today?
