Wow, that beats my Running of the Sheep ( a la Pamplona's Running of the Bulls). I live in a village that for centuries held the 2nd largest sheep market in UK. The village of roughly 400 souls had 14 pubs just to cater for the market day influx. But Turtle Race? New one on me. Will you have to bury a time capsule to remind future generations in 2589, that a race was started in 2007 and is still on the go....?! Turtle Race?
