Leopards and rhinos and stuff

One of my very good friends is coming to Namibia tomorrow with her Mum, to spend a few days with me, looking at leopards and cheetahs and other wild things. Yes - it’s that time of year again: my annual leopard-wrestling outing.

Actually, we’re going to this marvellous place. Last time I went we did some leopard tracking, and lo, we found a wild leopard, which we all viewed nervously from the comfort of the open landrover. They’re completely terrifying. You can see in its eyes that if you stuck so much as a toe out of the car, it’d have you.

a real, wild leopard.

Then we’re going to Etosha, to look at some springbok, and more zebras than you can shake a stick at.

I will be back on Friday, hopefully with all limbs attached.

Oooh! Ooooh! I’ve been there! At the end of our Namibia trip, The Brit and I splurged and stayed at Okonjima and then went and hung out with the cheetahs. The open landrover was a bit anxiety provoking but we did get some amazing pictures! Have fun!! So jealous!

Do tell us all about it upon your return! I’ll be shoe shopping in Milan.!

Robert - I’m sorry! I will try not to make you too jealous.

Clare - me too. They also give a pretty hefty discount for vsoers these days too though.

LCG - it’s just fab isn’t it? I know what you mean about the open landrover being nervewracking. Just a bit too close for comfort, really.

Susy - good luck with the shoes. I’m not sure how I’m going to cope when I get home, and you can actually buy leather shoes in the shops. Attractive leather shoes. It’s like Hell for Shoes in this place.
