How do I…
stop annoying links from stupid websites?
Just recently, I have been picked up by a website called Panic at the Disco (I’m not going to link to it). It’s a shopping site, that seems to exist to generate income through click-through advertising, and encourage people to shop at a series of online shops.
They keep nicking my posts (they do credit me, with a link, but still) and use the content to generate ads for their site. I’m fed up with it, and I would like to know if there’s any way I can stop it?
Has anyone else has this problem?

Yeah I’ve had the same thing before. I’ve never really attempted to do anything about it but it is annoying. I’m guessing that they are using loopholes in advertising and blogging that will hopefully be closed.
Sorry I can’t help.

Here is one resource for you:

You might choose one or more of their steps, or you might choose to do nothing. Over the last year, my articles have been treated similarly. Usually, the thief does not last long, whether or not I take action.

it’s not something I have (or ever will) experience, so my only suggestions are to start by asking them to stop, then telling them to stop. or, if they are linking back, change the article to something else

ourman – don’t worry. It’s still bloody annoying isn’t it?
Becky – thank you – I might well try that, if it continues.
Amanda – I could change the articles, but I don’t want to have to be forced to adapt my website just because they’re fucking parasites. I tried leaving comments, but there’s something wrong with the links, at least from where I am. Pff.
