Martin – it works every way!

Heather – urgh – those caterpillars look like mopane worms (a local delicacy). The moths are pretty though. Mind you, I have so many damn insects in my house, that I’m sure my houses is pretty much carpeted with moth poop. I must sweep the floor again soon. Thanks for the cheering up though!

I have no idea what that moth is, but I found some other very pretty ones on the internet while unsuccessfully trying to figure it out. For example, check out the otherworldly creatures at http://www.silkmoths.bizland.com/sample7.htm. (The caterpillars are kinda ewwy, though, I’d say–at least when they are piled up as in the photo on that page.)

I have been wondering since your last post what we could possibly do to cheer you up, Rachie. I’ve come up with nothing. But now I think we know the what if not the how: you need some pet moths.

It actually would be pretty magical to have one of those caterpillars and watch it transform, wouldn’t it?
